Multi-media filter is a process that uses 1 or several kinds of filter media to pass water with high turbidity through granular or non-granular materials with a certain thickness under a certain pressure, thus effectively removing suspended impurities and clarifying water. Commonly used filter materials include quartz sand, anthracite, manganese sand, etc. They are mainly used for water treatment to remove turbidity, soften water, pre-treatment of pure water, etc. The effluent turbidity can be recognized below 3 degrees. Multi-media filter is a commonly used pretreatment device for deep purification of water quality, which can be filled with different filter materials according to process requirements.
Multi-media filter material can be made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, carbon steel anti-corrosion or rubber lining, all stainless steel. The operation mode has two forms of automatic and manual, which is easy to operate and easy to maintain. It is widely used in the pretreatment device of water treatment process in all walks of life.
